The Challenge
In Pakistan and many other countries, women face challenges including lack of timely emergency help, difficulty accessing verified medical professionals, and limited awareness of their legal rights. Many apps addressing women’s safety lacked efficiency, simplicity, or failed under pressure. There was a need for a holistic, reliable, and user-friendly solution.
The Solution
Her Amigo was built using Flutter and Firebase, designed with Spiral and Incremental models to ensure flexibility, user feedback integration, and robustness. Key modules include:
- Emergency Button – sends GPS location via SMS to trusted contacts
- Virtual Consultancy – connects users to psychiatrists and gynecologists
- Nearest Clinics – maps local medical support based on current location
- Legal Awareness – provides rights documentation for women
- Emergency Helplines – direct dial to national emergency numbers
- Admin and Consultant Panels – secure management and verification
